CGF (Concentrated Growth Factors) is one of the most widely used techniques in regenerative medicine and dentistry to obtain a fibrin matrix rich in growth factors starting from the patient's own blood. Here's how it works and which devices are needed.
CGF is obtained by centrifuging a sample of the patient's blood using a variable-speed protocol, which separates a dense fibrin matrix rich in platelets and growth factors. The resulting material is then used as a biological support in various regenerative procedures.
The workflow requires a dedicated centrifuge (such as Medifuge or Apag-P), specific tubes for activating coagulation, and surgical instruments for handling the fibrin matrix. On the CGF Medical page you'll find the technical sheets for the three available devices, with photos and specifications.
CGF is used in oral surgery and implantology as a support to tissue healing, as well as in other areas of regenerative medicine. The dedicated consumables (tubes, swabs, tourniquet) are collected on the CGF consumables page.
